Who is the fairest of them all?

When I grow up I want to be an architect. I'll construct plans for neo-baroque interiors. The structure gives a framework; a context to my drawings that develop around them. They are short stories cut and condensed into one scene one space of time. An eclectic jumble of styles they are united through one common context, hybrids of old and new. I want to be an archivist. I'll collect information - any information - the context comes later. I see hierarchy in drawing. Doodles fall at the bottom of the pile, Michelangelo’s at the top, although my work is undiscriminating - drawings are chosen regardless of 'social status’. I want to be a narrator. My drawings represent broken narratives - the unspoken mind. I want to be a historian, a specialist in the neo-baroque era. I use parody to create subtle twists on traditional genres. In reality, the past is the past-it can never be edited or replayed according to preference. My drawings attempt to combat this: to re-invent the past and bring it into the present. It's a tough job-after all, even as I'm writing this statement things around us are continually changing.
