Introduction
The Impossible object exhibition began as an idea for students from the Falmouth College of Arts to interact with community groups within the local area. Taking surrealism as a starting point, The Impossible Object is a journey through the imaginations of the community groups as they made they're own interpretation of surrealism by creating works of art.

Altogether 6 community groups took part in the project which began in the Spring of 2004. The groups were selected by teams of students from Falmouth College of Arts, who then went about creating workshops and sessions with the community groups. The final outcome was to be original works of art which would then be exhibited in the Falmouth Arts Centre between the 8th of June and the 10th of June.

First Year History of Modern Art and Design students were responsible for curating and promoting the exhibition.
